High-Security Deadbolt Upgrades in Saline, MI

Many homes feature basic, Grade 3 builder-grade deadbolts constructed from hollow pot metal. When executing a front door lock replacement, we strongly recommend upgrading to ANSI Grade 1 or Grade 2 hardware. These locks feature solid brass cylinders, anti-drill ball bearings, and hardened steel bolts that actively resist sawing. More importantly, we address the weakest link: the door jamb. We install reinforced strike plates using three-inch steel screws that bite directly into the "king stud" of your wall, transferring the violent kinetic force of a kick-in attack away from the fragile wooden door frame and into the structural framing of the house.

Beautifying the Front Entryway

The front door is the architectural focal point of your entire property. Upgrading to a modern, sweeping handleset drastically improves aesthetics. When performing a front door handle replacement, absolute precision alignment is critical. We ensure the cross-bore and edge-bore holes perfectly accommodate the new tubular latch mechanism. We use specialized jigs to drill the through-holes for the bottom of the handleset, ensuring the hardware mounts perfectly plumb, straight, and flush against the door surface.

Smart Lock Installation and Calibration in Saline, MI

Our capabilities extend far beyond standard metal locks. We expertly install electronic keypad deadbolts and Wi-Fi-enabled smart locks so you can ditch your keychain. We meticulously calibrate the alignment of the door so the deadbolt motor glides effortlessly into the strike plate, preventing the severe battery drain and motor burnout that is incredibly common with amateur DIY smart lock installations.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why is my deadbolt so hard to lock from the inside? This is rarely an issue with the lock itself; it is an alignment problem. If the house settles over time or the door hinges sag, the deadbolt no longer lines up perfectly with the hole in the strike plate. We fix this by realigning the door and filing the strike plate so it throws smoothly.
  • Can you replace round knobs with lever handles? Yes. Modern lever handles use the exact same standard 2 1/8 inch cross-bore hole as round knobs. We perform full-house door handle replacements, upgrading to stylish ADA-compliant lever handles that are infinitely easier for children and seniors to operate.
  • Do you supply the new locks, or do I need to buy them? Our mobile units carry a wide inventory of premium deadbolts, knobs, and handlesets in various modern finishes (matte black, satin nickel, oil-rubbed bronze). We can supply the high-quality hardware, or we are perfectly happy to professionally install fixtures you have already purchased yourself.
  • Will a new handleset cover the paint marks from my old one? We carefully measure the "footprint" of your existing hardware before selecting a replacement. We deliberately select handlesets designed to cover the exact same surface area, cleanly concealing any fading, paint lines, or indentations left by the old hardware.

Fortify and Beautify Your Entryways
